Atlanta CV Welcomes New Color Guard Caption Head

Atlanta CV is excited to announce the appointment of Cody Segers this season as the new Color Guard Caption Head. Cody comes with a lot of experience, not only as a performer, but as an instructor.

Said Rodney Bailey, Co-Instructional and Design Coordinator, “Cody is just a wonderful person. He has so much passion for this art. couldn’t be prouder of him to take on this role.”

Cody is from Lithia Springs, GA and has been an active member of the pageantry arts for over 15 years. His previous marching experience includes Lithia Springs High School, Atlanta CV Drum and Bugle Corps from 2008 until 2015, the JSU Marching Southerners Colorguard, Northgate Independent, Aureus Independent, and finally aging himself out at Onyx Independent World in 2015. Cody is currently the director of color guards at Woodstock HS in Woodstock, GA. During his tenure, the program at Woodstock has grown from 10 members to 48 members and multiple winter guards. His other teaching experience includes Atlanta CV Drum and Bugle Corps, Paramount Open, The University of Georgia Winterguard, Aureus Independent, Divenire Winterguard, Forsyth Central High School, Rockdale County High School, and various other scholastic and independent programs in the southeast. Cody is a full time Accounting and Finance student and lives in Marietta, GA with his partner Daniel and their two cats: Benjamin and Ricky.

Cody will be replacing Rodney Bailey as the Color Guard Caption Head. Rodney will be continuing his work with Atlanta CV as the Co-Program Coordinator along with Alan Armstrong.
