Atlanta CV Announces 2018 Staff

Atlanta CV Moving Forward For 2018

Atlanta, GA, October 10, 2017– Atlanta CV is excited to announce the Design Team and Caption Heads for their 2018 season. With most of the long-time design and instructional staff returning, Atlanta CV is excited to welcome a few new and very talented additions to the team.

Program and Instructional Coordinator, Alan Armstrong, returns to the corps for his 11th season. Percussion Caption Head and Battery Arranger, Chris Romanowski along with Front Ensemble Arranger Matt Manturuk return for their 7th seasons. Brass Arranger, Jair Klarfeld, returns for his 6th season. Visual Caption Head Chad Reynolds, returns for his 7th season, and Steven Watson returns for his 3rd year as the Brass Caption Head. DCI Hall of Famer, Jeff Sacktig, returns for his 2nd year as the Visual Designer.

After relocating to Texas earlier in 2017, Victor Mooney will continue to serve as a consultant for both the Color Guard and overall visual program for the 2018 season. He also serves as a director on the board for the corps. Victor will be joined by Guard Caption Supervisor Rodney Bailey and Caption Head Scott Beck. Both Bailey and Beck return to Atlanta CV as Bailey is a former staff member, and Beck is a former member of the color guard.

Armstrong commented, “I’m thrilled we’ve been able to retain so many of our caption head and design team members over the years. This group of people and the consistency they have provided, has been a key to sustaining the long-term growth of the corps. While we’ve lost Victor on a full-time basis, keeping him in a consulting role and adding Rodney and Scott gives me great confidence that our guard will continue to be a strong suit for the corps as we move forward. As a design team, we’ve grown together over the years and the energy in this year’s programming discussions is exciting. Jeff’s addition last year was a shot in the arm, and the new energy that Rodney and Scott bring will continue to help us evolve and grow in new and exciting directions. I’m looking forward to seeing the product this group can provide the corps in 2018.”

CV’s Executive Director and the 2017 Drum Corps Associates Open Class Director of the Year, Dr. David W. Stollberg said “the program team continues to push the corps to higher levels. Last season we achieved 2nd place showing our championship level achievement and for 2018 this team is poised to build on the 20 year foundation of education, excellence and entertainment that CV has come to be known for.”

Auditions for Atlanta CV will begin in November, and registration information is available on the corps website at atlantacv.org. Full bios of all returning and new staff members will be available in the days to come. Join us in 2018 as we enter our third decade and look to build on the record breaking success of 2017.
